The Interactive Outsourcing Modeler provides companies a quick and clever way to
evaluate outsourcing savings opportunities. While not a replacement for a more formal and rigorous analysis, it should give most users who
spend the time to think through their assumptions and inputs a fairly accurate indication of their outsourcing opportunities across procurement,

Tool # 4: MFG.com: Direct Materials Supplier Identification, Sourcing and Supplier Management
Posted At : April 26, 2008 10:31 PM
When it comes to identifying new suppliers, most trade directories and other sources provide little feedback on supplier performance and quality. MFG.com changes this, offering
community-generated feedback into past performance (both buyer and supplier). In addition, MFG.com offers free sourcing and supplier management tools (which while limited in capability
relative to more advanced sourcing products, are extremely intuitive and easy-to-use). MFG.com makes its money off of suppliers based on a membership fee it charges to reach the broader
marketplace, although a procurement organization can invite its own suppliers to participate in sourcing projects without a fee.
