Is China Ready to Flood the Market with Low-Cost Pole Dancers?

After reading this New York Times story -- and watching the video -- I can't help but wonder if this is what the Chinese government means when it says it wants to encourage higher margin, less polluting industries by changing the VAT rebate structure. I mean, the carbon emissions from these types of suppliers are virtually zero. Makes sense to me from a centralized planning perspective. Let's hope that worldwide gentlemen's clubs do not file any anti-dumping complaints. Somehow, I don't think this made the Doha trade talks. Maybe next year.

nobody's alter ego's Gravatar Jason, I think you're onto something here. Wonder if there is a higher-margin outsourcing/BPO-type play for China here ...

Jason Busch's Gravatar Lisa,

I read the NYT religiously everyday despite its left-leaning slant. I can't help it if they cover the escapades of the illustrious former governor of NYC and China's latest export opportunities. Seriously, Lisa, I was hoping you might see some labor arbitrage opportunities here, but alas, you have to make this personal. Think with your head and not your heart, my dear ;-)

Lisa Reisman's Gravatar My head tells me you have a penchant for certain types of stories. No, if I was going to get into this business, I'd be more industry specific like www.grindergirl.com.
