Off to IACCM Americas

I'm leaving Monday morning to attend the IACCM Americas conference in Scottsdale. For those who don't know IACCM -- even if you're outside of the US -- you should. The non-profit organization and think-tank looks at the broader concept of contracting and contract management rather than just procurement and supplier management from a buy-side perspective. While I'm moderating a panel on supply risk and giving a presentation on the history of blogging and social networking -- and its modern applicability to Spend Management -- I'm most looking forward to kicking back and enjoying myself for a few days, seeing a number of old and new faces in the process. If you're going to be at the event next week and you'd like to connect, drop me a line. And if you see someone with a notebook open, furiously taking notes, or camped out at an electrical outlet trying to post an updated dispatch from somewhere in the conference facility, it's a good chance that it's me. If you can't make the event, don't worry. My goal is to post at least half a dozen dispatches next week on what I'm learning and hearing from the event, so check back frequently!
