Gearing Up for Conference Season
Pretty soon, I'll be traversing the North American continent for the spring 2008 conference season. You really don't want to know what my personal carbon footprint will be (although at least I'm not being a hypocrite like Al Gore by flying private). Regardless, at this point, it's beginning to look like a crazy few months of travel and speaking. So far, I'm planning on attending SAP Sapphire. And I'll be keynoting or participating in panels at Ariba LIVE, SIG, IACCM, Infosys' BPO Summit and CVM Supply World (which will be swinging through nine cities). Not to mention playing a part in two dozen or so webinars and podcasts during the same period. For more information and dates for these and other events, check out Michael Lamoureux’s conference schedule over on Sourcing Innovation. I look forward to seeing many Spend Matters readers at these events. And maybe even at 30,000 feet while stuck in a middle seat. Ah, the joys of conference season ...

1) The entire world wants to know what is going on with the SAP SRM product -- what is planned, whether they will hit release schedules, etc.
2) SAP has been very quiet these past few months telling anyone what they're up to following last fall's missed release
3) I want to be able to cover any news from the source -- so to speak -- as SAP is a big part of many company's procurement systems and Spend Matters readers want to know what's really going on.
Having said that, I'm getting enough industry / sector conference insights from IACCM and SIG this spring. I also know a few people going to ISM -- OK, maybe a few hundred -- so I'll deputize some to cover it for the blog.
Hope this answers the question!
