Discovering a New Blog on Supply Chain Risk
Over the weekend, I discovered a new blog on supply chain risk. Authored by a consultancy in the logistics and supply chain arena, Riskape, does justice to a subject that I wish I had more time to cover on Spend Matters. Supply risk is a topic that impacts virtually all organizations, from companies sourcing direct materials from near-shore suppliers, to those outsourcing a help desk to the far corners of the world. If you're curious to learn more about Spend Matters perspective on supply risk, search under "supply risk" on the bottom right hand side of the screen. They're a couple dozen posts from over the years that will come up which dig into everything from transportation risk and regional commodity inflation to avoiding supply disruptions from suppliers going through operational and financial crises.

Thanks for the post on Riskape. Not sure how I missed it when it came out, but I appreciate very much your comments. I'm also you watching the initiative on sourcing innovation that you are involved with and posted on it today.
Thanks again,
Rob
Good to hear from you and keep up the good work! I'm still thinking about what to write about in the innovation post, and I'm going to try to watch the other guys take swings at the plate before I attempt it! I'm going to try to push the limits a bit.
